Where the Adriatic Sea meets the Ionian Sea, Karaburun is the only national marine park in the country. While the peninsula itself is a managed nature reserve, all eyes are on the preservation of the incredible marine flora and fauna, giant caves, and meadows of seagrass that can be found under da sea. We will do the first stop to the biggest and at the same time, the most famous is Haxhi Alia cave, one of the biggest in Albania. The cave is 60 meters high and 40 meters deep. A small lake, where we will swim is found inside the case while traces of fire can be noticed on the walls. After that, we will go straight to Dafina bay to enjoy snorkeling and the incredible marine flora and fauna. Then we will continue with the exploration of Brisani Bay. Aside from the peninsula, we will also head out to Sazan, Albania’s largest island and an old Cold War submarine base, which was only opened to the public in 2015. After exploring different bays and caves it’s time to enjoy a delicious local lunch. Departure to Vlora and end of the trip.

Likewise, all adventure travel requires a certain amount of flexibility and we sometimes have to make minor changes to the activities because of weather and availability, but we have plenty of options up our sleeve.
