Kakome Bay is located on the Ionian Coast, west of the village of Nivica, between cape of Qefali and Akroriza beach. is one of the quietest beaches along the coast, it can be accessed by car, but it is more beautiful by boat. Here lies the sandy beach of Kakome, one of the most beautiful stretches of unspoilt beach that can be found on the Albanian coast. The bay used to be home to an army base and access might be limited during some periods. It has a fine white sand and gravel; the variation of blue sea and the surrounding greenery make it a true paradise. St. Mary’s Monastery rises above the hill in the interior part of Kakome Bay, far from the inhabited center.. The position of the monastery and the architectural – constructive level of the remaining buildings testify to its importance and values. The monastery complex consists of churches, towers and a two-storey building used for service facilities.

! Kindly keep all your clothes and personal belongings in a backpack, which can be easily transported on minivan.

We’re really flexible and none of our itineraries are written in stone, so if you have a particular interest you’d like to include or you need to leave a trip earlier or join later (at a pro-rated fare), just let us know and we can almost always make it happen. Likewise, all adventure travel requires a certain amount of flexibility and we sometimes have to make minor changes to the activities because of weather and availability, but we have plenty of options up our sleeve.

Travel with minivan to Kakome Bay.
Only 13 km from Saranda you can reach by car or by boat the amazing beach bays of Kakome. The beach has a stretch of 1 kilometre of sand with a small port at the middle of it. The bay used to be home to an army base and access might be limited during some periods. It has a fine white sand and gravel; the variation of blue sea and the surrounding greenery make it a true paradise.
Preparing for hiking up to the hill where you can have an amazing view of both Kakome and Krorza Bay.We will visit the St. Mary's Monastery .The building contains numerous architectural and decorative elements, such as arches, columns, frames, window sills, etc., made of carved stone. The entire monastery complex is surrounded by high stone walls, with a well-protected entrance gate.
Hiking lasts 2,5 hours until to the bay where you will do kayaking and stand up paddle in the crystal water of Ionian sea.Picnic lunch during your sportive activities.
